2023 JET Programme Information Session
Interested in working and living in Japan? Virtual information sessions for the 2023 JET Programme will be held in August and September by the Consulate-General of Japan. Each session will give a basic overview of the JET Programme and positions available, application advice to help applicants get started, Q&A sessions, and will feature a presentation from a JET alumni to tell you more about their life in Japan.
There will be a total of four sessions:
- 25 & 26 August, 6 - 7:30 PM
- 13 & 14 September, 6 - 7:30 PM

Japanaroo is back on for 2022!
Building on the achievements of Japanaroo 2021 and Japanaroo+, Japanaroo 2022 will be held in Sydney and beyond from Saturday, 3 September to Sunday, 11 September 2022.
During this time participating Japanese and Australian organisations and companies will hold special events connecting Japan and Australia across culture, food, tourism, education, career development, sports, and technology and innovation.
Organisers can expect their event will be a conduit for cross-sectoral exchange and collaboration, reaching participants from all walks of life.

- Japan Expo and Okinawa Matsuri on Saturday, 3 September at The Great Hall, The University of Sydney (by J Culture Sydney)
- Bonsai Exhibition from Friday, 9 September to Sunday, 11 September at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney (by The Bonsai Society of Sydney Inc)
- Matsuri Japan Festival at Chatswood 2022 on Saturday, 10 September at Chatswood Mall (by Japan Club of Sydney (JCS))
- “Ken Done: Attack” Exhibition from Saturday, 3 September to Sunday, 11 September at Ken Done Gallery on The Rocks (by Ken Done)
JETAA NSW and AJS NSW are joining forces to hold Japan Trivia Night on Wednesday 7 September!
It would be fantastic if everyone could spread the word and encourage your family/friends/co-workers to join this special night!
This event would be suitable for anyone who loves trivia and is up for some friendly competition! Anyone can join, Japanese language ability is not necessary.
Get ready to test your knowledge on all things Japan!
Gather a team and have a fun-filled night!

Hosted by the people at iQ Trivia, who do regular Trivia nights all over various pubs in Sydney and Canberra.

Spring into Spring! Sakura Hanami with JETAA NSW
The Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival is back for the first time in three years!
This year's Cherry Blossom Festival requires visitors to pre-book a session and JETAA NSW will be at the Festival for
the 10-10:45am session to enjoy the cherry blossoms before the crowds.
Join us as we reminisce on doing hanami in Japan and indulge on some food in the Japanese Food Village at the festival!
Please note you will need to purchase your ticket via the Cumberland City Council website.
Hump Day Drinks
Come join us for a sneaky drink or two after work at our monthly Hump Day drinks event!
The Hump Day event for August will be at Tank Stream Bar on Wednesday, 31 August starting from 6:30 PM.
