We work with Japanese government organisations and cultural groups to promote language and cultural exchanges, through social and networking events. We welcome alumni and non-alumni alike!

Picnic/Hanami with JETAA NSW
Hello JETAA Friends!
Cumberland City Council will be holding Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival again this year at the Auburn Botanic Gardens.
On Saturday 24 August, JETAA members will be heading there for a picnic and then afterwards enjoy the sakura in the Japanese Gardens!
JETAA NSW will be providing some snacks for the picnic, but there will also be food stalls available (or you're welcome to BYO food).
Admission is $15.55 and you can grab your tickets (must pre-book for entry) at: https://www.cumberland.nsw.gov.au/sydneycherryblossomfestival
After the picnic, we can enjoy the sakura together, or you're welcome to enjoy in your own time.
Auburn Botanic Garden gates open at 9am and close at 4:45pm. We will be there at 11am to reserve a spot with a few picnic rugs. We will update the events page on Facebook and Instagram stories with our location when we get there.

Who: Everyone is welcome, whether you're a JET alumni or friend, or you're interested in applying for the JET Program! We particular welcome any returning 2024 JETs!
How much: $15.55. You must pre-book via https://www.cumberland.nsw.gov.au/sydneycherryblossomfestival (residents of Cumberland City Council are free, children prices and family passes also available)
Free shuttle buses will run between 8:30am and 5:30pm between Auburn Train Station and Auburn Botanic Gardens.
Parking is available in Tavistock Avenue and Killeen Street which is a 5-minute walk to the venue.
Entry to the festival drop zone is via Killeen Street, Auburn.
