Come join JETAA NSW to celebrate the end of Summer and wrap up of the JETAA NSW year with an afternoon of picnicking and activities on Narrabeen Lagoon!
We plan to secure a picnic table near the lagoon. Lunch of roast chicken, salad, bread rolls and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Afterwards, we can go on the kayaks and stand-up paddles on the lagoon (also provided by JETAA NSW).
This is a family event. JETAA NSW members and their family and friends are welcome!
Where: Berry Reserve at Narrabeen Lagoon. If you're taking public transport, get off at the Narrabeen B-Line bus stop. Lots of parking nearby.
When: From 11:30am, Saturday 11 February 2023. Finish mid-afternoon.
What to bring:
- Cutlery, plate and keep cup (let's make this event plastic-free if possible)
- Picnic mat (if you have)
- Chair (optional)
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- Any outdoor games (optional). There's a basketball court nearby
- Swimmers/change of clothes (in case you fall into the water)
- Alcohol (JETAA NSW will provide non-alcoholic drinks like juices and soft drinks)
In order in gain an idea of number of attendees, how much food to order and any dietary requirements, it would be appreciated if you could complete this Registration Form (https://forms.gle/L13Tfz4jitGuuG4t7) by Wednesday 8 February 2023.

Join JETAA NSW for a traditional Japanese calligraphy "shodo" workshop with prolific Japanese artist and performer Ren Yano. Normally $50 for a 1hr workshop, save by joining us for a discounted price of $25 for 1.5hrs!
After the workshop, there is the option to join JETAA members for a casual lunch* nearby.
What you will learn
In this workshop, you will learn how to wield your brush or "fude" to make beautiful Japanese characters and express emotion through brush stroke rhythm, pressure and tone!
What is included in your event fee?
- All calligraphy materials (so just bring yourself!)
- Instructions, demonstrations and teaching by Ren Yano
- Take home your masterpiece!
