LIFE ON JET DOESN'T CONTINUE FOREVER

Apart from settling back home and dealing with possible reverse culture shock, finding work in a new environment and culture will be a challenge.

2018 Networking and Career Seminar

With this in mind, we continue to develop initiatives to provide better careers and networking support for our JET alumni. We run career workshops aimed towards recent JET returnees, although any JET alumni who are job seekers are welcome to register and attend. We cover the following topics such as:

  • Resume creation
  • How to talk about JET on your resume
  • Interview practice and tips
  • How to network
  • Q&A with JET alumni

We also have our Networking Night as a companion event to the Careers Workshop. We have another networking end-of-year event which is a more informal and social affair.

We post job ads on our social media accounts, such as: (Twitter, Facebook Page and Linkedin).

We recommend setting up a profile on Linkedin - join the professional JETAA network online. Companies also post job ads on this platform, will look at your profile when you apply, so keep it updated.
